Hubei invested 13.5 billion yuan to recycle textile waste for interception of the Yangtze River

The “Yangtze River Huanggang National Textile Comprehensive Cycle Demonstration Base” officially started on March 29th in the Yangtze River in Huanggang City, Hubei Province. This project with a total investment of 13.5 billion yuan will reduce the environmental damage caused by waste textiles by “selling gold in the rags”, especially the pollution of industrial chemical fiber raw materials to the Yangtze River waters, and achieve the unification of recycling, environmental protection and high added value.

Textile

The project was jointly selected by the Hubei Yangtze River Economic Belt Industry Guidance Fund and the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association and Zhejiang Luyu Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., mainly using waste textiles, industrial waste chemical trim, etc. as raw materials, using self-developed alcohol degradation regeneration. The process produces environmentally friendly fabrics and forms a recycling industry chain.

After the project is put into production, the annual production capacity will be 2 million tons, and the annual output value will be 9.2 billion yuan, the tax revenue will be 1.2 billion yuan, and 8,000 people will be employed. It is understood that the recycling recycling rate of waste textiles in the country is only 10%. The unscientific burning, burying and processing of a large number of textile wastes pollute the air, soil and water sources and penetrate the Yangtze River through groundwater. The landing of this project will not only ease the current shortage of resources in the textile industry, but also reduce the environmental pollution caused by the textile industry.
