Shanghai Petrochemical successfully developed a new type of heating acrylic fiber

HC Chemical Network News: Recently, Shanghai Petrochemical developed a new type of acrylic fiber with heating function, which can greatly improve the heat storage performance of the clothing. The acrylic fiber is used as a special fabric for thermal underwear and has been recognized by downstream customers upon its launch.

Traditional chemical fiber fabrics mainly achieve heat preservation by blocking the heat emitted by the human body, so the finished garments tend to be thicker, which affects the comfort and aesthetics of the clothes. The heating fiber developed by Shanghai Petrochemical is based on 0.8D (D refers to Daniel, fiber fineness unit) superfine acrylic fiber, and the nano-functional material is modified by adding the nano-functional material to the spinning dope, so that the ultra-fine fiber is retained. Based on the characteristics of light weight, softness and fluffiness, the heat storage performance is further improved, and the special requirements of raw materials for underwear products are achieved.

It is reported that this new type of heating functional fiber was officially launched in the company's acrylic fiber production equipment in early May. The first batch of 10 tons of products have been sent to customers for the production of underwear products. From the user's trial situation, the product has stable quality and excellent spinnability, and has a large market improvement space.
